Biography

I’m a User Experience and User Interaction Designer & Researcher. My passion is designing and researching web and mobile software, and making my products with user accessibility and ease in mind.

I was born and raised in the MetroWest area of Boston and earned my degree in Human-Centered Computing in Rochester, NY at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I'm currently residing in sunny South Carolina, the birth place of sweet tea! I’m also a strong advocate for Women in STEM, the sense of community is unlike any I’ve experienced, and diverse representation is essential to creating truly holistic, inclusive products.

My work sits at the intersection of creativity and structure. I grew up splitting my time  between theater arts and STEM. Both have a large influence on my life leading me down a creative job path where I can bring ideas to life intentionally by balancing storytelling, usability, and execution.

Currently, I am exploring the job market and freelancing. I have completed a 6-month long internship at Enel X and two summers with MITRE doing Business Innovation. I’ve designed internal tools at Enel X, contributed to scalable design systems, and led UX/UI work for complex, collaborative projects at MITRE. Including an interactive digital museum experience. Alongside this, my freelance work has sharpened how I think, communicate, and solve problems in real-world contexts.

My industry experience has grown my skills and work ethic greatly. My passion for creating great user experiences has only grown and won't stop anytime soon. Being a bridge and advocate between users and the people building for them is a priviledge and is my true calling in life. I can't wait to see where my career takes me and I look forward to the opportunities ahead.

My "Second Loves"

UX-ers have the opportunity to work in almost any field out there. If the business or a product goes on a screen or interacts with a human, a UX person is essential to the development and upkeep of the product. My professional experience is mostly based in B2B and internal tools but I am eager to jump into any field and give it my all.

Below is a niche list of fields and topics I have experience in that I really loved creating experiences in. They aren't my first love, but they are near and dear to my heart and I would love to work with, and use the skill sets I gained from, these projects in other work opportunities.
